Short Bio

I am Samir Pariyar, born on July 24, 2000, and a dedicated activist with over five years of experience in promoting Dignified Menstruation. Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Public Health at Purbanchal University School of Health Sciences, Gothgau, Morang. My professional roles include serving as the National Coordinator for the Dignified Menstruation Campaign Nepal, Coordinator of the Gift for Girls Campaign, and a member of the Male Leader Network under the Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizen. My commitment to gender equality and menstrual dignity has earned me several awards and recognitions, including the National Youth Talent Award 2080 from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Best Dignified Menstruation Activist award from Sunwal Municipality, and the honor of being named Men Champion for Dignified Menstruation by the Global South Coalition for Dignified Menstruation on the 4th International Dignified Menstruation Day in 2022. I have spearheaded initiatives such as Menarche Celebration and Men's Walk for Dignified Menstruation and have participated and co-facilitated various Training of Trainers (TOT) programs.
